97 geo metro revs very high when starting

just installed new motor in my metro, now when i start the car its acting like someone has the gas pedal to the floor. I checked the throttle body and parts are moving fine nothing stuck please help

I had this same problem with my 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse. On that car the problem was a vaccuum hose eaten away. Check all you vacuum hoses.

I have a 97' geo metro and it revs real high then it usually dies b4 i can get it in gear
