My 92 Geo Metro intermittently blows the Fuel Injection fuse. When I disconnect the Fuel pump relay it still blows the fuse. I have vhecked the wiring per the Haynes manual and can find no shorts or rubbed wires. Anyone have an idea?

My '94 Geo Metro blows the FI fuse intermittently too. Three times it has been while I was driving down the freeway. I have taken it to the shop 3 times (twice to the dealer) in the last 2 years and they have even dropped the fuel tank down to check hard-to-reach connectors but have so far been unable to find the problem. I tried replacing the 15-amp fuse with a 20-amp fuse but that doesn't seem to help either. When I asked what to do next, one shop suggested I should buy a new car.

I have the same problem. I believe it is the oxygen sensor wires or the ingition wires. The fuse usually blows when I go over a bump. Is that your symptom? Two wires touching and shorting out.

Hello. I am having a problem with my 1990 geo metro ignition switch. It starts intermittantly, then does not start until I pop the clutch in third gear. My mechanic has thrown up his hands and given it over to GOD. Solonoid? faulty fuses(recently blown fuses also noted, and fixed twice so far.)Any clues, please write soon. HELP!!!!!!!!
