I need to replace the turn signal flasher in my 1996 Geo Metro, I think. The left blinker flashes fast, the left front turn signal flashes normally with the blinking sound. I have replaced the flasher bulb, but still no light. I have looked up under the dash and located the fuse panel but I can't identify the flasher. What does it look like? Terry

I would try looking in a junk yard you can probably find one for cheap there.

I am still working on my wife's 91 turn signals. her kids and grand kids drive metro's there are 15 running and 4 parts cars down to the farm. the turn signal flasher is located on the top side of the fuse box .closer to the steering column and firewall. It has locking tabs you have to pinch to get the flasher relay out. hard to do. I looked at the the parts pile the connector that plugs into the fuse box has one larger green wire in the corner of the connector. one is burned black and the other has overheated and is brown. It must be a common problem.. I have read other posts about wire connectors overheating. I couldn't find my test lite but It looks like with the key on... the power goes to the fuse box flasher then thru the green wire in the corner, then to the turn signal switch then back to the light bulbs.
