GMC-Yukon XL - Adding a middle front seat to a Suburban

Hi All, We're looking for a Suburban/Yukon XL, and we really like the 9 passenger configuration. We came across a good deal on a 2003 Yukon XL, but it's an 8 passenger (two front, three middle, three rear). We're wondering about just buying this one and replacing the center console in the front with a middle seat. I was curious if anybody here has tried that, or has thoughts on that? I found these after-market seats: Think this would work? -Josh

Hmm, it won't seem to let met post the link... To find the seat I'm interested in, go to discountvantruck dot com, then click on "SUV", then click on "Center Console Seat", and that's it.

Hello, I have an 03 suburban right now. It is an 8 passenger as well. I have been looking at converting it to 9 passenger. The best thing you could do (for a factory fit) is to get the jump seat out of a yukon XL, Avalanche, Sierra, or silverado and then swap the console out for it. The seat shares the same bolts as the driver and passenger inners. So there is no drilling to do. The only other thing to consider is that you will need the lower dash section. Otherwise you will have a gap where your console used to be. You may try posting an ad in your local paper saying you are interested in swapping your center console and lower dash for someone that has the jump seat allready but doesnt need it. I posted one such ad on Kijiji for my area and have a couple offers from Avalanche and Yukon XL owners. So there are people out there willing to trade. Hope that helps
