my engine hours got erased when I brought my gmc truck in for a command start.I had 3800 hours and now I am at 26hrs.when you shut it off by the command start the radio and fan keeps running.but more importantly can my hours be restored?this might be looked at as tampering when I go to trade it in

I have a 2005 GMC Serria and I noticed the same thing. I couldnt use my timer and my hours were reset. I had to take it in to the dealer and they removed a pod in the dash and sent it back to the factory to have the data recovered and reprogramed. When they put it back in it had the correct information and the timer worked again. Now 1.5 years later..........its doing it again!
