Door ajar light in dash stays on even when all doors are shut tight and dome lights stay on. Had to remove all light bulbs to save battery. Can you tell me where the switch is in the door jam that turns off dash light. Can't seem to find it. Hopping its just stuck or maybe its another problem. Any help will be appreciated.

Oh, the "door ajar lights" and dome lights. My 1995 WindStar had this problem, I almost went crazy! Nobody could find the switch anywhere! So, I tryed to find it by myself!

Well... the switch is incorporated to the lock, inside de door. You have to take off the doorīs carpeting and, with a torx key, take off the door lock. The sensor is incased in low of the lock, you can see a couple of wires leaving it. Each door have one or more sensors. The trunk door have 2 sensors, one in each lock.

My WindStar had one sensor of trunk door stopped on "open" position. I took it off, clened and oiled. Done itīs working like a new one!

dome and door ajar light stays on until I reach speed of 15 miles per hour, then goes out until I stop and take key out then it comes back on. Does anyone know what to do

To fix the door ajar and dome light spray wd40 in the door latches. The switch is in there. It fixed mine in just a few minutes.
