egr valve and cam position sensor

I have taken my care to the local auto zone for a diagnostics test and it show that my cam position sensor and egr valve are going out. The tranny slams into first, and the speedometer doesn't work, the odometer doesn't work either. Any prompt help would be very appreciated. This is my only car.

sounds like you will need a new transmission

You should first check your Driven VSS, it's located in the transmission in the rear left of the engine compartment. I had the same symptoms and replaced this part and everything was fine after that.

what sensor on a ford taurus gl 3.0 engine causes bad gas mileage but won't leave you broke down?
