About 3 weeks ago my ford Ranger started acting up.You can go about 6 0r 7 miles snd then it will start missing and barely run, then get a surge of power run 2 0r 3 miles and miss and lose power so bad you barely make it home.I have put 2 coil packs, spark plugs and wires, fuelfilter, Ignition module, catalytic converter, on board computer, speed sensor, checked the gas for water air flow sensor , checked the fuel pump, it has 40 pounds pressure, 32 PSI when running, even had it put on diagnostic machine and they said they could find nothing wrong with it. All the parts I have put on are NEW, no used parts. It is a 2.3 5-speed transmission, manual. Any suggestions, I am out of ideas and money.

i have a 92 ranger with the same problem. come to find out it is the idle control valve. located on top of the intake manafold in plane sight. you can try to clean it but it will be better to replace it.
