I picked up a 2001 Focus with 124, 000 miles. This vehicle has a very bad engine vibration that is transmitted through the steering wheel even when car is not moving and in the park position. All engine mounts are good. Help. Bob

Well, i thought it was the trans mount on the underside, not. It was the ds trans motor mount. I hope you actually removed the air-box and looked at the mount. I did, looked sound, but not until the car wheels were chocked, handbrake on, brakes fully de-pressed, place the car in drive and have someone look at how much play the mount exhibits, that's the culprit. Anyways, I replaced the mount and those vibrations when stopped and reverse, are gone. Ian

Excessive vibration solved. All engine mounts were not good. Passenger side Hydraulic mount was bad.
