The wires for the glow plugs are getting hot, smoking, and glowing where they bolt to the glow plug solinoid on top of the engine. What could cause this.

HAY YOUR SOLINOID MAY NOT BE SHUTING OFF. MY 95 F350 TURBO DIESL HAS A HAS A SWITCH THAT RUNS TO THE SOLINOID, I CAN TURN IT OFF AN ON, THIS WAY IT WOUNT BURN OUT OR OVER HEAT. IT LOOKS LIKE A NOSS SWITCH, TWO WIRES RUN FROM THE SWITCH TO THE SOLINOID (TOP TWO NUTS) TRY THAT GOOD LUCK
