Ford-F250 -
new tranny, o/d light starts flashing

I have a 96' f250 with the 7.3 in it that I bought about 2months ago. I put a brand new factory tranny in it right after I bought it and yesterday while driving home the O/D light started flashing stayed that way for a while and quit. However it now shifts extremely illregular.

its the neutral safety switch located on the transmission.
