My 1996 F250 7.3 turbo has one in the fuel filter canister. It is under the filter inside.

I have a 97 f250 with a 7.3 and it started having a problem it would quit running and then not start, and the wait to start light would not come on, the fuse that is not marked in the manual ( under the hood ) keeps blowing and if I replace it, blows again. I have found out that there is a fuel line heater in the cannister assembly and if I disconnect it, that will more than likely solve my problem. Has any one else had a similar problem.

I have a 99 E350 7.3, as long as I have the block heater pluged in, it will start, but when it's around 20deg. or lower, it will stall in about five minutes and blow the fuse, I was told in a forum that the fuel heater in the filter bowl was the problem. I have yet tho find a replacement heater element.also, anyone know where to order one. Thanks, Jim
