I have a 2000 F250. Started draining the battery. No sign of obvious short circuit or damaged wire. Any idea where to start checking?

Check fuses and relays first, then make sure battery holds a charge, thenstart your truck with the battery fully charged and completely connected, while the truck is running, disconnect your positive battery cable, if your truck shuts off, your alternator may be faulty, if it stays running, reconnect your positive cable to the battery, and find a wiring diagram and someone who knows how to read it, chase wires until you find the short, make repairs as necessary

I have an 2000 F250 Diesel. The brake light fuse keeps going out after I hit the brake pedal, so the brake lights don't work with the pedal, but if I press the electronic trailer brake control even without an trailer, the brake light work fine, leaving me to believe the wires are fine, but there must be a short somewhere in the brake pedal switch. Do you have any other thoughts?

My F 250 powerstroke keeps blowing the #30, 30 amp fuse everytime the switch is turned on. This is causing the engine not to crank. I found that if I unplug the wiring at the bottom of the fuel bowl (which should be for the heating unit inside the bowl) it stops blowing the fuse and cranks the engine. Does anyone know what might be causing this and why.

check the presence of voltage at the load point in the circuit. refer to a troubleshooting guide.

I have a 1996 F-250 Powerstroke. It immediately blows the 30amp fuse for the glow plug controller as soon as I turn the ignition to activate the glow plug start up. This happened when I first plugged the engine block heater in for the first time. Is this coincidence or is there a connection? Does anyone know what would cause this and how to fix it?

Have a 1992 F250 4x4 Auto, 7.5ltr. Originally, electrical problem began when the headlights were turned off, the running and brake lights remained lit until the positive battery cable was disconnected. One day the truck just would not start. After a jump, the truck fired right up, then by the time I drove it home the battery was dead. Is it the battery, alternator or voltage regulator? How can I check?

I have an 2000 F250 4x4 Extended cab. I have encountered several issues; The passenger power window fully operates up/down from the driver side but is interminted from the passenger side. The passenger side power door lock does not work except manually. When traveling on the highway and I hit 60mph the AC cuts off from the foward vents and begins to blow from the front defrost and then switches back. Does any have a clue of why this stuff may happen? Thanks

I am working on a friends 2000 F250 super duty with a 7.3 engine. The problem is that his steering wheel controls stoped working, the horn, cruise control, and the air bag and abs lights both came on. I am going to replace the "clock spring switch" in the steering wheel, am I doing the right thing?
