Ford-F250 - Lost Cruise Control and Overdrive after engine replacement

I bought a 01 F-250, 4x4, crew cab with a bad engine. I replaced the engine with a 03 and the cruise control and overdrive stopped working.I checked the fuses and all are ok. Is there a common sensor, or other electrical component? Any help would be appreciated.

Unless you are a pro and did fix everything else well, I am not willing to give you the benefit of doubt. I would not have considered taking matters into my own hands given that it is an engine that you are talking about. You might have carried everything else in order but a few technicalities here and there need to be handled by the dealers themselves. Good luck!

Unless we can have a look at the said locomotive, I doubt if any help will be forthcoming.Perhaps you did not fix the engine the right way or there was a slight lapse in the whole procedure. You could try having a professional have a look at it especially the engine. You do not want an electrical fault ruining everything, do you? You seem to understand the whole concept..

Most times, when a car is not functioning and we think that the issues is of a mechanical origin, when we dabble further into the issues we tend to see that the problem could have easily stemmed from some sort of an electrical malfunction.

That is true eve, and so i thing that to not further complicate things up and do more mess with the car, it is best that we bring home or bring the car if possible to the nearest autoshop and have it diagnosed properly, we could do more damage if we troubleshoot without knowing the real reason behind the fault. Those experts are what we need in times of troubles.
