Ford-F250 -
Ford F250 with Tow Kit rear light flashing and will not start

I have a 2004 Ford F250 Lariot. The problem is the rear lights flashing which caused the battery to drain and not start the truck. The truck has a tow kit. The flashing lights and tow kit, are they connected someway? What would the first place to look at in the trouble shooting procedure? Never had a dual battery system what is the best way to jump a truck with dual batteries?
