Ford-F250 - F-250 Noise
Audie Taquino (63.107.215.40) - Sat Nov 15 15:25:21 2008
My 2006 F-250 has had a cracking noise under the chassis since new. It has been in the dealer 6 times and a total of eleven weeks for the same thing. The front brakes have been changed twice, the drive shaft was checked, greased the spline and was told that everything underneath was tight. When the brakes are changed the noise goes away for a few days then slowly starts returning until it reaches a very noisy level again. The dealer had another f-250 come in for some other repairs and found that it did the same thing. Mine was sent to another dealer to be checked but nothing was found there either. Four other people at my dealer have heard it and two service managers heard it at the other dealer. Just no one can seem to find it. Any one else ever had this issue and what was found to fix it? It sounds as though the chassis is cracking. Ford refuses to do anything else and told me to sue them if I want something done. It's sad you pay this knid of money to buy domestic and get this knid of treatment. No damn wonder detroit goings broke with that kind of screw you I have your money attitude. As far I'm concerned they don't deserve any goverment bailout. Let the trash fall where it may. The japs are taking over and will own them soon. Maybe then we will get something worth buying.

The problem with taking it to another dealer is they won't get it out quick if you didn't buy it there. I took it to another dealer and they kept it two freaking weeks and didn't do a thing. I need my truck daily for work and can't afford to have it tied up for wekeks at a dealer. It actually sat at the dealer I bought it from for three weeks once and they didn't even touch it. I checked on it every day till they got tired of my being there and gave it back and told me nothings wrong. I think I'll grant Fords wish and just give it to an attorney to handle. $30, 000.00 for a piece of s_ _t that ford could care less about. By the way this isn't my first Ford, I've had about eighteen different fords since 1973. Seems they would want to help a loyal customer. Let the sob's go broke. If they built quality vehicles and backed them up with decent service maybe they wouldn't be in the shape they are in. I never wanted to buy Jap but because I beleive in supporting products made here but this junk and their attitude is changing my mind quick.

I have a 2005 f250 four door 4x4 and have had a clicking sound or tapping sound in the cab since new. It was at the dealer 3 times for a total of about 10 days and no solution. The manager heard it and tech also. They said it was the drain hose from the sunroof but it continued. I took apart the entire back and could not find. I think now its the door molding tapping against the door. When i shove pillows down against the door it seems to stop. I still am unsure. If anyone finds the problem please let me know. Kind of had the same treatment as Audie did. Amazing for the kind of money you spend.
