'99 F250 SD 4x4 Auto Trans. - need to shift it manually - 1 time

Got stuck in wet slick off-road clay. 4x4 is out.

Broke the plastic parts of the automatic transmission shifter on the steering column when rocking from D1 to R to D1 and is now stuck in D1.

How do I shift the transmission into N from underneath the truck (external) so I can get it towed to a road and the shop????
