92 F250 Diesel Electronic Shift Not Working

A retired friend had some one replace the master cylinder on his pickup and now the electronic shift control system doesn't work. It shifts, but really hard. All the fuses under the hood are fine and the Relay #1 is ok. The #12 Diode is ok, but there is no power to the fuse on the cab fuse box labeled electronic shift. Any ideas?? Thanks, Tony
