2002 F250 starts fine but only idles and gauges don't work

My 2002 F250 has been at the shop for a week now and they cant figure out the problem. the problem started three months ago and would blow fuse#45 while putting into gear. The accelerator would go out and the gauges would fall. I would replace the fuse and everything worked again until the next random time it decided to blow. This last time it happened it also smoked from my steering column(i had a 30amp fuse instead of a 10). I read about the 3 wire OD wires and sure enough they were exposed. I have replaced the whole shifter and wires but still does not work. Code 603 and 605 come up when scanning. Is it possible that i fried my pcm? Does anybody have any other suggestions that might help me get my truck running again? Thanks
