Ford-F150 - Rear Turn Signal Bulb access

On my 2001 F150, I need to replace turn signal bulb. How to access? I pulled out piece of foam out of approx. 2" hole that feed wires go thru, however my hand is too big to get access. Any Suggestions?

there are 2 holes inside the tailgate frame to reach the 2 bolts that hold the turn signal housing. You will need a nutdriver to unscrew them, then the entire housing will slide out and you can replace your bulbs.

2006 F150 - I've pulled the two metric head bolts in side the tailgate opening ... but the tail light housing won't pull back, forward or out. I can see it moving looking inside the bolt holes ... but that won't replace the turn signal bulb.

This is in reply to Triumph-Nut. I have the same problem...unscrewed the two hex nuts, but the tail light assembly won't budge. I don't want to scratch my paint or crack the assembly. Now what? Can't drive around with out a working tail light.

for Graybeard and Triunph-Nut - After unscrewing the two hex nuts. Us a flat blade screwdriver near the 2 points you removed the hex nuts. Between the Lense and the body. There are four nipples that are holding the unit in. Just pry gentle near the top then the bottom. Apply pressure back with your other hand from the other end of the assemby.

Backyard Mechanic, Thank you, thank you. I COULD NOT firgure out why the &X$#( light assembly wouldn't come out, and I didn't have the nerve to try to pry it out until you mentioned what was occurring. Thanks.
