How do you replace a heater core in my 99' F150? I have heard you really have to take out the dash??Thanks Rick

The whole dash needs to be removed, If the vehicle has AC, the freon needs to be evacuated, do to the fact that the heating/ cooling unit is removed as a whole unit, then the unit is split to access the heater core. When unit is put back in and dash replaced, the ac needs to be recharged when done.

i am trying to replace the heater coil. i need to know how to remove the air bag safely.
