I have an 85 F150 300ci 6cyl with single barrel carb, 4speed manual. Truck ran smoothly but would stall after several minutes due to no fuel getting to carb. Son-in-law changed fuel filter yesterday (extremely dirty). While fuel lines were disconnected he used compressor with 100lb PSI to blow fuel line exiting fuel pump going to carb; blew line going from fuel pump back to gas tank and blew thru fuel pump. He reconnected all

fuel lines. Truck starts but is now pumping significant fuel out tube at top of carb. Runs very rough for 30 seconds at most and then stalls.

How much damage has been done to carb and what is solution to fix this?

he disconnected the lines and blew thru them or blew the air into the carb and fuel pump? if not prolly in the carb i would go to a junk yard and get a different one or rebuild that one.. if so then you prolly blew the seals out and you'll need a new fuel pump (about 10-20 bucks) and the carb will need changed or rebuilt. . and if he blew that much air into the tank. . there is a screen on the line into the tank which picks up big crud and he could hav blew that off which would significantly plug ur filter faster or maybe the whole problem is that screen is clogged and stopping ur fuel supply. . if so drop the tank (bolts will probably break) and spend 6 bucks and replace that screen after flushing the tank out. . those are my suggestions i hope they help i hav messed with a lot of those old fords but still not the best resource
