Ford-F150 - ABS Light

Recently replaced all rotors and brake pads on my 06 F150, now the ABS light is on and the ABS isn't working. Is there any way I can get the system to reset?

I had the exact same problem. The rotors have a gear-looking exciter ring on the back. A sense reads the 'teeth' when the rotor is turning and uses the reading to determine when the anti-lock brakes (ABS) should kick on.Straight from the manufacturer, my new rotor had a skewed (misaligned) exciter ring. You could see it wobble when you spun the wheel. I didn't realize this until I had repeated problems and finally paid Ford $100 to trouble-shoot the problem for me. Immediately after I put the defective rotor on, I started having brake problems. Every time I started my truck the pedal would vibrate (ABS) for awhile. After a few minutes of driving, the pedal would start functioning normally, but the ABS would 'deactivate' and the idiot light on the instrument panel would come on. Anyway, I traded the defective rotor for another one and it fixed the problem. I haven't had any issues since then. Good luck! Matthew
