| where can i find a front driveshaft for my awd 97 ford explore on line |
212/13/09 22:10carl sanders | Scott: the way you take the front driveshaft out of the explorer is you use a torques drive bit to take out the screws that hold the yoke in place on the front differential. then you untighten the 6 bolts on the cv joint where it connects to the transfer case. it will slide right out after you do those steps. Mike: I have had two front driveshafts tear up on me. the rubber boot tears apart then the grease leaks out and then the c is shot unless you catch it on time and take it out. anyways you can find cheaper rebuilt ones on ebay or just google it. trust me though youll keep having problems. the best way is to buy the adapter which instead of having a cv at the end it has a yoke setup. and it bolts to the flange the same way the cv one does. |
| this adapter instead of a cv joint where would i find that? |
