My 2004 exployer with 60, 000 miles on it does not want to come out of park, the problem just started today and I have been able, with a lot of time, to shift it into drive- any suggestions?

Check your rear break lights. They most lickly be all out. This happen to me and I did not know until I broke the shift stick. Two weeks later an old man screammed at me because I did not have break lights. This should solve you problem.
