Ford-Explorer - Serious alarm problem

Hi.I have a 99 Explorer Ltd. I have a problem with the alarm. When I lock the car and the alarm is armed, the alarm goes on suddenly at the middle of the night without being touched or opened. I want to take off some fuse or some controller to disable the alarm, but the book of the car shows a different fuse distribution than the fuse box really has. Can somebody help me ? There are actually two fuse panels. One is on the passenger side fender. There are not any fuses there that will help you. Also there is a fuse panel under the steering column. It is just slightly to the left of the steering column. Again there should not be anything there that will help you. The alarm module is in the left, "driver side" rear compartment where the jack is. Try unplugging the module. If your car has door locks that work with the alarm it will of course disable this feature also.
