I have a 2000 E.B. Ford Explorer and my interior lights (on the radio and dash board - not the dome light) are flickering, any ideas??

OMG! My 2000 E.B. Explorer lights: radio and instrumetation panel flickered for awhile and now they are completely gone. Once in awhile the radio will illuminate, but never the dashboard where the spedometer is. The only thing that works on that side is the check gage light and the speed control light. Have you heard anything on this?

I have a 2000 explorer with the dash lights, radio lights, door swithes flicker.(not the dome light or head lights) Could this be a bad headlight switch with resistor?? Thanks

I have a 1998 Explorer and all the lights on the dash work fine, but on the radio and disc player the display light doesn't work, the selection buttons light up and dim like they should but not the display. Life is good! :-) Oh, I also have my top rear brake light above the rear glass door flickering all the time. If anyone has any input or info on these problems please reply and if I find anything I will do the same. Thanks, Have a Great Day, God is Good! :-) Oh by the way, yours problem sounds like a relay, the dimming switch or knob could be going bad. Most all of these bells and whistles come with relays. Relays are just other switch that relays the current. The real challenge is locating them.
