Be VERY careful, that happened to me on another car and it turned out it was OVERHEATING but the temp gauge wasn't working. It blew the engine and I had to replace it.

Try cleaning your battery terminals. I was having a problem switching between the heat and AC and when we cleaned the battery terminals the switch worked again and now the heat and AC work like they should. We figured this out after we had replaced the temperature gauge which turned out not the be the issue at all.
