In a 2002 Ford Explorer XLT, I am hearing a clicking noise coming out of the rear speaker. It doesn't affect anything, but is annoying. It doesn't cause the amp guage to fluctuate... it sounds like a relay is clicking, or something...? Any ideas what this could be?

I have a 2006 Ford Explorer six cylinder with three system failures that occurred at the same time. One is the fuel gauge, the second is the radio, third the power locks and finally, there is a Check Engine warning indicator that came on. If you have some knowledge of this problem please provide suggestions. All other on board systems are fully functional.*760) 641-4308

My 2002 Ford Explorer Sport brake lights just went out. What could have caused it? I'm not sure what fuse would need to be looked at. Mike

I have a 02 Explorer and both accessory power outlets are not working. I have looked through the owners manual and can not identify the fuse. Is there an inline fuse, if there is, where is it located?

I have a 2002 Explorer where I think a fuse is blown. The driver side door is having a few electrical issues all of a sudden. The power locks do not work (on driver's side only), the mirror adjust does not work and the door ajar light stays one due to this door. I know the door ajar is related to the driver's side door because the key chime keeps going with the door closed.Fuse #16 is ok. Please help.

Just started yesterday. Dash needles in cluster are jumping and the radio is powering up and then shutting off. If i am not moving, it is fine. Seems to only happen when im driving the car, hitting bumps, etc. I think its a short somewhere, but the battery isnt charging also...i think they are related. The voltage gauge in the cluster says normal. Please help.

Please help, my car has been towed 4 different times, I took my car in for service at Ford of Orange ($485.00), they claim it could be the fuel pump($900.00est.), they also said my alarm is interfearing with my lights which may be the cause, they also wanted to remove my alarm system which they also installed. Ford claims that it was an after market alarm installed in the vehicle. I don't understand. I bought the car at the dealership and the alarm was pre installed prior to it being sold...they also left the factory alarm installed which caused it to wrap itself around my steering wheel. I was lucky I was at home it would not move when I went to drive away the same day I purchased it.

I have a problem with the wiring harness on a 2006 ExplorerI have the tow harnesss that is connected and the parking lights will not come on my trailer. I checked and there is no voltage at the 4 prong plug. I traced the wires back to the right side under the bumper there is a plug that plugs into the factory harness. no voltage there. The brakes lights and the turn signals work on the trailer. The parking lights on the rear works. Does the voltage come from the rear tail light or is it a seperate harness going to the front. I probably could cut the brow wire and run it up to the parking light seperate and tie it in there. This is a factory install no after install. any sugesstion Thanks

My 1992 Explorer has been a very good vehicle. However, in the last year and a half if the car is not driven every day, the car radio will not come on until the car is driven a while. I've had the battery checked and it is OK. The car starts right up every time too. I have never seen a problem like this. Usually if there is a short it drains the battery and does not "fix itself" after being driven for 20-30 minutes! Just in the last 2 weeks I drove it 160 miles to another airport and left it in a parking lot for 12 days. When I returned it started immediately, but the radio wouldn't work. After 30 minutes on the highway the radio came on! Does anyone have any ideas?

i own a 2000 ford (purchased used): Explorer XLT SUV 4D, Engine 4.OL V6 EFI, assempled in U.S.--it is parked on the street in NYC and I have had both mirrors replaced multiple times--i believe the cars original mirrors may have been heated and with puddle lights--to save money i ordered a non-heated, on-puddle-light mirror online, intending to install the thing myself--it turns out that replacement mirror's plug doesn't mesh with the car's window wiring connection--the car cable has two black lines, two yellow lines, a greeish line and a lavender line, whereas the replacement window has three lines, one blue, one yellow and one red--is there any reasonable was I can simply splice those three wires with the appropriate three wires from the array of 6 in the car's system, tying off the unused wires with electrical tape; i.e., which color goes with which color--i am only interested in the automatic adjustment mechanism
