94 explorer eddie bauer stuck in 4 wheel drive

My 94 Eddie Bauer Explorer push button 4x4 with manual hubs will not disengage from 4x4. When I pushed the button to turn it on it engaged fine. Now nothing. Won't go into low range or turn off 4x4. Tried with hubs locked and unlocked. Tried in neutral with brake on. Tried going in reverse. Nothing. If I lock the hubs I am in 4x4. I unlock the hubs to disengage the front wheels but the dash lights still on 4x4, also push button light is on.

Low range button does nothing.

Any help for this new Explorer owner will really help. Thanks
