I am trying to find an owners manual for a 1999 Ford Explorer XLT. Just got it and no manual with it. Any clue on getting the fog lights to work?

there should be a button on the dash (just right of where the radio is). It is the button just under the rear windshield wiper button.

I need to make sure my radio antenna cable is properly plugged into the back of my radio. 99 Explorer XLT. AM/FM/CD. I recently hit a deer in the right front quarter. FM is very staticky now and there is no AM reception at all. The body shop said everything looked good at the antenna end when they replaced the fender.Thoughts? Thanks.

I have a 1999 explorer sport that sounds like it has a spark knock but it is not that.It is not the lifters tapping. It only does between 2300 and 3500rpm.It will do it at an idle.Any Ideas I appreciate it.

Reply 8 and 9Yes, you have to bypass FOG LAMP RELAY tied to + side of right Drivers Headlamp FUSE 8/10Amp; cut that wire and tie the relay side to +12V thru fuse Left and right Headlamps are on separate fuses #4 and 8 (10Amps) Reply 7: Serious FRONT TRANSFER CASE issue there Reply 6: Drivers Side dashboard, leftmost surface right above door hinge is hidden triangular shaped hatch; all cab fuses are in there, the MAIN fusible link and relay box is on left fender in the engine compartment Reply 5:check EGR valve ball freedom of movement or replace Reply 4: The Antenna coax is crushed for SURE, because it goes along that side into the cab and i bet/guess its crushed at the firewall side; I betcha you have low resitance on center to shield at the radio coax connector and thats a clue to low RF signal (my guess that the coax cable crush is shortingt the RF signal out, I betcha a screwdriver at the radio RF connector socket center will prove this) Reply 3: Horn Relay is #10 in the Fuse Block/Engine Compartment, rear side. Reply 2: 1997 Blower Motor relay circuit, check FUSE #2 7.5A on inside fuse panel, check blower motor relay #9 on the Fuse box in the Engine Compartment , also the big 40A fuse in position #2 in the first row in that front fuse box/Eng.comp. but if thats blow then perhaps the blower motor is siezed or perhaps the reostat dash switch assembly has a bad connection Reply #1: answered correctly, LED is directly connected to ground of the control relay. I would also like to appeal to find ANY scanned Ford Explorer 1999 Sport 2Door 4L SOHC equipped schematics, and preffer the factory schematics. I have drawings to trade with wiring lists. Only wish to trade for 1999 data please.

My overhead compass/temperature doesnt come on, and i pushed the mode button several times, but that doesnt seem to help. Could it possibly be a fuse, and if it could be, which number is it, and what amp fuse do i need to get? Or could it be other things, worked fine up to couple weeks ago.

To release vehicle from 4wd low range you must stop vehicle, turn knob to auto, and put gearbox into neutral or park.wait til 4wd low light goes out on dash then put in drive. Also i have a front transfer case for sale in good condition if anyone interested.

i have a 1999 ford explorer scout , the seat belt alarm beeps 5 times every 30 minutes when I'm driving.which fuse can I remove to stop this?
Reply #22 Unknown (199.72.141.29) - Wed Sep 24 12:54:21 2008
I had the same problem with the 5 beeps every 30 minutes before, it was a airbag light that was causing it. I changed out the burned light bulb and the beeps became silent.
