Ford-Escape - Check Engine Light on after battery replace on 05 Ford Escape

Last monday, I replaced the battery in my 2005 Ford Escape. After I replaced the battery, the control panel (speedomoter, odometer, clock, radio, etc) was dead. I drive right to my mechanic and he advised that a fuse blew. He replaced the fuse and everything was fine. However, as I was driving back home I had noticed that my check engine light was on and is still on a week later. The car runs fine and no problems. Will the check engine light just reset itself or is is something else? Can I reset it?Please advise.

I just took my 2005 Ford Escaper to my mechanic to look at the check engine light that came on after I replaced the battery. He used his senor device and it stated "Low Fuel" and found nothing else. I have a 1/4 tank of gas. He said that it is most likely due to the new battery being changed and just cleared it. He said that the vehicle is fine. He did say to just keep an eye on it and if it does come back on, the fuel pump may need to be replaced. Hope this helps anyone else who this had this problem.
