I am wondering how many of you are having similiar issues with oil leaks on your Escape. I own a 2005 Mariner, 6CYL. and also a 2006 Mariner with the 4CYL, both have very low miles, under 70, 000. Both ahve developed a pan leak, almost in the same spot. I spoke to my local service advisor with Mercury and he has fielded many complaints about the same leak and he was at a loss of words as to why Ford has not issued a recall on this matter. Are experiencing the same problem with your Escape or Mariner ? Where would I find more detailed data on this, any ideas ? I sent Ford an email and am waiting for a response. Bill

I have a 2006 Escape with a oil leak in the front end. I believe it is the oil line. I also have a trans leak in the same area. These are metal lines? Why are they rusting after three years. I hope the replacements aren't made of the same material.

My '06 Ford Escape Hybrid has an engine leak, up high and hard to see. I wasted good money on a mechanic who changed the oil pan gasket, because the drip came down along that seal. Of course he's saying now that I had two leaks. The vehicle has 85, 000 miles on it. The leak could be anything from valve covers, pump or the rear seal.Gonna be $$$$. If it was just the pan, you are lucky...
