2002 Ford Escape: won't start

I have a 2002 Ford Escape that will not start after sitting overnight. If I keep driving it all day every few hours its fine. I had the battery replaced, next day it wouldn't start, took it to Autozone, they told me it was the alternator. I had that replaced on Monday and it started fine It's Thursday and this morning it had a little trouble, turn the key several times before it started. It's like something is draining the battery when the car sits for awhile. Any ideas? I have checked and no lights have been left on or anything like that, so what could it be?

you are describing the exact problem with my mothers 2002 escape as well. do you have any issues with the 6-cd stereo in the escape. I feel there could be issues with it drawing power from battery when suv is parked and off.

my 2002 ford escape is doing the same thing. I have a brand new batter, fuel pump, and a brand new remote and i am still having problems when i try to start it. it runs for two seconds after a jump off and then shuts completely down.
