I am in contact with a seller of a 1965 econoline van. It has a straight 6/240, 3 speed, 9" rear, and pop top camper option. rust in all four corners, runs strong though. I am wondering if it is difficult to find mechanical parts for this vehicle? Not worried about cosmetic restoration, just transport. The seller says it will need a new clutch soon. I have concerns, hoping to use it daily as a work truck/temporary residence. any advice? he is asking $1200. I appreciate your time.

I have 1965 Econoline pickup. It has many spotweld dimpleson the outside of the bed. Around the wheel wells and along the lower panels. Since my truck is a one owner in very nice shape. I assume they were there when the truck was new ? Should I leave them or take them out ? We are about to repaint the truck. Rodger Dunn 614-517-8430

The answer to most of the questions regarding parts is Mac's Antique Auto Parts. I also have a 1965 van with a 240 ci engine which has so much blow-by that the dip stick lifts out of the block when it is reved up. I'm fortunate thought in that I have a good 300 six that is the same basic engine that I will swap out. From reading that catlaog it looks as if there were a number of Branco parts that will interchange as well.
