airbag light flashing on 1998 ford contour after having cat replace and fans replaced

I have a 98 ford contour with 176, 000 miles on it It has had the airbag light flashing on since I bought it three years ago.I know that if you take it into to a Ford dealer or a certified mechanic that works on airbags they can clear the airbag light for you.cost to do this not sure but its a good Idea to get it fixed right away so your airbag system will work properly.
