i have a 1995 stratus, it has started to knock and thump, its worse when im just coasting, the thump is when im coasting the knock is when im braking, and vibration the whole time, we think an axle , but can somebody help me figure this out?

Holly, You don't have an axle in a front wheel drive car. See if you have a broken or loose motor mount. You can check that by seeing if your engine moves up and down in park when you increase the idle. You have more than one motor mount, but it's often the one in front by the radiator.

it sounds like your cv joint is broke or came lose that goes into your transmission.could also be motor mount or trans mount or also could be that 1 of your rotors are bad causeing the vibration.
