what does error code 66 mean for 96 dodge stratus

I have a 1998 Dodge Intrepid and it will not start after sitting a considerable time. It shows a code 12 but the battery had gone dead and I charged it. The car will not start, please give me an idea of what to do.

[code 66] it's a tcm a transmission contorl model .it could be that might not be it could be lose wire on your relay for your tcm most common it could be a relay going bad for the tcm it could be a input senor or a out put sensor that is located on your transmission it could also be your transmission solinoied pack needs to be replaced on your trans mission or could be a bad idc which is vavle idle air control that is located on your trottle body beside your trottle sensor.first think i would do is get a diganostic test done most likely your software needs to be updated.if your car is going into limp mode!!! which is down shifting on it's on when you are driving or want shift into gear some times its going thru the limp mode stage so many dodge stratus cars are going thru it because its junk i no i have a 2000 dodge stratus my self 2.0 liter but thats what it is.if you need me email me.JJ [code 12] you have a battery conection problem direct battery input to your pcmis disconnected with in the last 50 ignition key on cycles.
