I have a 2002 Dodge Stratus. SE. 4 door. Automatic, white. 170, 000 mi. Body is in pretty good shape. Inside in good shape. However, the transmission just started slipping. It still runs, but am thinking something needs to be replaced. Have not taken it to a mechanic. Just wanted to sell it and get another car. But not sure really how much to sell it for. This would be a good car for a mechanic or someone who repairs car as an investment.

I own an '01 SE and can tell you that a rebuilt transmission is going to run about 2K+ (replaced mine 3 years ago). Your car in fair condition is worth just under 2K according to Kelly Blue Book. If you can get it sold before the tranmission fails, you're looking at about 1500 to 2000 dollars.
