First off the Transmission was rebuilt about a year ago and all had been fine. Now after the car runs for a few minutes the transmission acts like it gets stuck in second gear and won't shift out of that gear. I can let the car sit for a while and it works fine for a few minutes again and then it acts like it won't shift. I believe that it is staying in that gear even if i stop and start. The reason that i think that it is second gear is it will run about 45mph before my rpm's get to high. Any help in solving this problem is greatly appreciated

I am a shade tree mechanic while laid off. I have recently rebuilt a 2002 stratus from bottom up. Now I'm having the same difficulity you are having with the transmission. Have you found a solution to this problem yet? I don't want to have to change the transmission if not necessary.
