Just purchased a 65K mile '93 in overall nice shape. While the automatic transmission shifts okay, the gearshift indicator on the dash does not move when shifting gears. The red needle always stays to the left of "P". My local Dodge dealer was no help, having no diagnosis/repair info, and their parts dept. could only show me a gear indicator/cable assembly dash unit available
for $29.95, but it would have to be ordered. They could offer no guidance as to how to install it,nor could my Haynes manual. Has anyone out there encountered this problem before?
