1990 ram van b250 stalls out when decelerating

i have a 1990 b250 8 cylinder dodge van. starts fine, idles fine, lopes in first gear and then runs great, but whenever i hit the brakes the engine stalls- every time. replaced egr valve, replaced all fuel hoses, replaced oil pan and gasket, fluids are great and new, all filters are clean and plugs and wires are brand new, cant figure it out! any advice? i think it might be the fuel pump or ignition timing but not sure. cant afford to give a mechanic five million dollars, need to fix it myself. thanks.
