1996 Dodge Neon: Started using lagre amounts of fuel. Do not have a leak.

Try changing the air filter. Had same problem on my 2003 thought that the filter had been changed because I got charged for it being changed at a dealership 6 months ago before I shipped it to germany. Put a new filter on the problem went away.
