First day hard starting git code 0340 changed cam sensor, upon starting then had code 0016, 0344, changed crank sensor, car runs OK. After driving for a week and then sitting for four days over weekend I now have 0016, 0340, 0344 codes, if you clear them they come back as soon as you light up the engine.Local garage shaking their heads. Not out of time TDC'd #1 ck'd cam timing marks OK. Where do I start ckecking for other problems? Thanks Lee (ps wife wants her Neon back & I want my PT back from her...know what I mean?)

I am having the same problem...I do hear a knock when starting from a rest position. Also a shake when idling, or passing through 40-50 mph if going up-hill.What did you end up doing?
