I have a 1999 intrepid with a 2.7which I rebuilt...runs great! Recently it died while my wife was driving. The fuel pump runs, starter turns. So I ran some tests and there is no 12 volts going to fuel injectors or coils or pcm. I replaced the ignition switch, still no juice. What does this car want? Is there some secret fusable link I am not in on?

I have an '98 intrepid es 3.2. The car runs fine, the problem is with the heater. There is no heat coming from ATC heater unit either from the vents, top or bottom, or from the the window defroster. I was told that the heater unit in the dash board was the culprit because the LEDS were not lighting up, althought the fan was working fine and the a/c was also working fine.Possible a fuse, relay, sensor, I thought maybe the thermostat, but no. Any way I replaced the heater control unit and that didn't work. The '98 has a self diagnostic by pushing loor, mix and defrost buttons simultaneously. When released it will display codes from 23 to 51. Well my code was 23 which was the blend door actuator feedback failuer. Appently means the heater was rerouting the heat from ther engine, back to the engine. My engine was hot and overhating all the time. Any suggestions!

I had a 2000 Intrepid. I bought it with 10 miles on it on Sept. 22, 2000. In February of 2004 the timng belt jumped time and put metal shavings in my oil. King Dodge did not check the oil until after fixing the timing chain and pistons. When they checked the oil is when they found the metal shavings. Lucky for us we had bought the extended warrenty. I had to have a new motor put in. On December 22nd I got about 1/2 mile from home and guess what. The motor froze up. We called a tow truck driver who told up he was dropping off a 1999 Dodge Intrepid with a 2000 motor. When talking to the drive who took my intrepid to the junk yard he said that 2000 was known for having bad motors. I feel that Dodge should have contacted up when they found that out and either fixed it or replaced it. I know that 8 years is to long ago for them to do anything about it, but I am sure this happened to more than me. I will not buy another Dodge.

My 2000 Intrepid had to have a new engine inseted when it died in Orlando , Florida. When we put it in, it ran fine for a while then died again in, you guessed it, Orlando. We towed it home and it had metal shavings in the oil. Wtf?????

I have had multiple issues with my 1994 intrepid!mainly at this time my concerns ly in a very peculuer situation and that is the tail lights. They are melting the lenses also the brake light in the rear window has completly disentigrated its lense. All three modules have been replaced in this car.the body controle module the engine control module and the power control module. Is there some sort of balace resistor circiut regulator component or maybee just a short in wireing or maybee it is just another normal thing
