I am looking for a reason that the engine light is coming on as well. We are heading out of town for vacation and want to make sure that everything is okay before we go.

If you have a check engine light, take your vehicle to the local advance auto or auto zone, they will check it for free and tell you what you need to do.

We have a 4 year old Caravan 3.3l the engine light comes on intemittently an during warranty was checked 5 times. Only one time did the dealer do something by replacing the egr valve. It came on about 2 weeks later. Get this every dealer coutesy van has the light on and the drivers tell you oh we ignore that, as long as the engine rusn fine. Servce will tell you oh it could be anything (CYA) but has to be checked??? My lease is up and I had a repair shop check the codes 2 emission 1 oxygen sensor. He deleted the codes and the light is now off. I feel the tolerances on this engine emission program is way to sensitive. I work for a major Diesel engine company and this happens quite often but we provide a fix unlike Dodge who let you frett on forever.

Most times it is the gas cap or a minor venting issue on hot days but the dealer will always give you the dunno reponse.

I found this website that you can go and make formal complaints. You will need you year, make, model and vin number before doing so. Please file complaints so maybe we can get some recalls done from so many havng the same complaints.
