I hade the same problem it turned out to be ignition fuse in the fuse box under the hood that runs the ignition relay

I have a 2002 Dodge Dakota that starts then sometimes doesn't start unless I let it sit for a while (sometimes 30 miniutes). The battery is brand new. I am wondering if it is just a faulty fuse or is it something in the electronic ignition.

Lucky you, My mechanic fried my ECU and I'm waiting for a referbed one in the mail. Of course he denied it. It goes in running but after working on it , it won't start any more. Just a flewk he says, WOW did he look nervous when I confronted him, I've never seen someone's face twitching like that and a lot of throat clearing. I wasn't gonna hit him but he seemed to be waiting for it.
