how do i remove my stero from a 2006 dodge dakota

I have a 2005 Dodge Dakota and today I took out the radio unit.

The CD player would not reject or play the CDs. I found a stripped gear that moves the CD up or down. It looks like a new unit is needed. Tomorrow I will see a man who installs universal units that match the decor.
