Have a 1994 dodge caravan. I have first and reverse but won't shift up into overdrive. Also shifts hard going into first and reverse.

My 2002 Caravan will not shift into overdrive. Was working fine, not driven for six days, now will not shift.

Any suggestions?

96 caravan will not shift, speedmeter is not working and advise would be greatly appreciated

My 1995 Dodge Caravan is also experiencing a shift problem...seem to have the lower gears and reverse but no overdrive...drives along at 4000 rpm at 80 km/h instead of about 2000 rpm (or less). Any help/advice is appreciated, but it looks like no-one has replied to this forum posting yet...

tranny wont shift out of second or third gear. Takes off in same gear never changes.

have a 97 dodge caravan 3 liter..won't shift out of first gear when the engine gets hot..and the fluid level is fine..does anybody know why this may be happening??

tranny won't shift out of 2nd gear. starts out in 2nd gear as well

I read on another forum that if a transmission will not shift out of 1st or 2nd gear, it's in limp mode. Drive the vehicle for about 10 or 15 min and turn it off. Turn the key on and off 4 times. (without starting the motor) This will reset the computer. hope it helps.

hi, , , have you try to change the atx relay . is located in the fuse box under the hood. i have a problem whit my transmission don't shift to 2d or 3rd , i replace this relay and the problem is solve. the relay had cost of 12.95 at autozone.
