When using turn signal for right hand turn - frequently - blinks for left hand turn - even though lever is in position for right hand turn. Does not happen all of the time - but happens frequently.

I have a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan and am experiencing the exact same problem. I had similar problem with my 1999 Dodge Durango but it was with the High Beams not the turn signal. It involved the same switch. The fix then was to replace the turn signal switch unit. I figured that was a big job, however after talking to my mechanic he told me that it took about 10 minutes. He showed me the part it is really really really simple. unscrew 4 screws, take off steering column cover, unplug the old module, plug in new module and off you go. I just got done pricing the part and so far the cheapest place to get it is at your local dodge dealer. It can be picked up at a Dodge dealer for $52.85 here in Pittsburgh.

Am having the same problem with 2007 Grand Caravan. Where is the "turn signal switch unit" mentioned previously? I get it is in the column... Is it readily visible and/or labeled? Thanks.
